Biography

I have always been drawn to creating.

My interest in painting began with a childhood love of colors. At fourteen, I started taking painting lessons, but by eighteen, university, courses, and internships had gradually taken over my time. Painting became something I wanted to return to, but never quite found the time for.

Creativity, however, remained part of my life.

Along the way, I taught myself jewelry making, which eventually became a larger part of my creative life. Today, I am the co-owner of Miettes d’Art, a brand that began with jewelry and is now evolving into a multidisciplinary creative studio. Through this work, I have also explored candle making and different ways of creating with my hands.

Painting was always something I wanted to return to. Years later, when a friend asked me to create a painting for her home, I found myself picking up my brushes again. The experience reminded me that the skills I had developed were still there, but more importantly, it made me realize how much I had yet to explore. I wanted to return to painting, not simply to continue where I had left off, but to develop my own artistic voice.

What I particularly enjoy about painting is the freedom it allows. Unlike jewelry or candle making, where certain decisions can be difficult to reverse, painting leaves room for mistakes, changes, and unexpected discoveries. I love working with acrylics, especially their texture and the possibilities they offer.

Nature, movement, and emotion often find their way into my paintings. I am drawn to creating works that invite people to pause, look a little longer, and experience a sense of calm. I like the idea that a painting can hold a different meaning for each person who encounters it.

Alongside my creative work, I am also a speech therapist. Although these fields may seem different, expression connects them in a way that feels natural to me. As a speech therapist, I help others find ways to express themselves. Through art, I find ways to express myself.

I have never felt that one profession or one creative discipline could fully define me. Painting, jewelry, candle making, and speech therapy are all different parts of who I am, each allowing me to explore another side of myself.
